Bengaluru, March 24, 2023: The Conference of Catholic Colleges of Karnataka in collaboration with the Xavier Board of Higher Education in India organized a one-day Seminar at Jyoti Nivas College Autonomous, Bangalore. The theme of the Seminar was Sustaining Quality and Relevance in Higher Education.
Most Rev. Dr. Peter Machado, Metropolitan Archbishop of Bengaluru was the chief guest and graced the inauguration of the Seminar.
Prof. B. Thimme Gowda, Vice–Chairman, Karnataka State Higher Education Council and former Vice-Chancellor, Bangalore University, Dr. B. S. Ponmudiraj, Adviser (Academic), Mr. Victor Sundaraj, Head of Infosys Education and Adv. Robin Christopher J, Director, Litigation ADF India, were the resource persons for the seminar.
Archbishop Peter Machado in his address highlighted the six points which can be integrated into education today: “The Sense of Human, the Sense of Divine, the Sense of Nature, the Sense of Others, the Sense of Nation and the Sense of belonging.”
Rev Dr. Sr. Lalitha Thomas, SJT, the Principal, Jyothi Nivas College Autonomous, and other dignitaries were present for the seminar.
