Pavagada, Tumkur, January 15, 2024: The dawn of the new year has brought a shower of blessings to the St. Francis Xavier Mission in Pavagada as Most Rev. Dr. Peter Machado, the Metropolitan Archbishop of Bangalore, inaugurated the newly constructed presbytery. This momentous occasion marks a significant milestone achieved through the dedicated efforts of numerous priests, religious, and the unwavering support of Archbishop Machado.
During the inauguration ceremony, Archbishop Machado expressed his admiration for the steadfast faith of the people and extended his heartfelt appreciation to all those who contributed to the realization of this dream. He dedicated the presbytery to the people of Pavagada, emphasizing its significance as a beacon of hope and service, especially in a region where the Christian presence is relatively small. Thomas Simon Lobo, SAC, Parish Priest of St. Joseph’s Church, Sannenahalli, and others whose support and participation doubled the jubilation of the Pavagada community.
