
With immense joy and gratitude, Resurrection Church, Indiranagar, Bengaluru, welcomed His Grace Most Rev. Dr. Peter Machado, Archbishop of Bangalore, for a pastoral visit. His presence brought spiritual renewal, encouragement, and blessings to the entire parish community. The Parish Clergy, Fr. Balraj, Parish Priest, and Fr. Terry Prakash Xavier, Assistant Parish Priest, expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the Archbishop’s visit.

During his visit, the Archbishop met with various groups and individuals within the parish, embracing each with fatherly love and pastoral care. His engagements included:
Visiting all the religious communities within the parish.
A special visit to St. Michael's Convent, where he spent time with deserted newborn babies and unwed mothers, recognizing the sisters’ compassionate mission of nurturing and care.
Meeting with parish associations, including the St. Vincent de Paul Society and their adopted families, encouraging their charitable works.
Praying the Rosary with the Youth and interacting with the Altar Servers, guiding them to grow in faith and service.
Engaging with the Parish Pastoral Council and Finance Committee, offering his wisdom and pastoral insights.
Spending time with migrant families, assuring them of the Church’s support and care.

His Grace also met with the Basilica Deanery Faith Formators, emphasizing the vital role they play in shaping the faith of children, the future of the Church. He encouraged them to continue their mission with dedication and zeal. A particularly touching moment was when he visited sick and elderly parishioners, offering them words of comfort and blessings. The entire community was moved when he met a 114-year-old parishioner, a living testament to faith and perseverance.
