Bangalore, July 17, 2022: “Holy Eucharist is the Source and Summit of the Life of the Church” said Archbishop Most Rev. Dr. Peter Machado, as he hoisted the flag on the occasion of the beginning of the first day novena at Holy Eucharist Church in Mangammanapalya.
Archbishop Peter Machado presided over the solemn Holy Eucharist along with many other priests.
Speaking in his homily, the prelate also connected the Gospel stating how Mary chose to be in the presence of Jesus sitting at his feet and listening to him. Whereas Martha was busy in external preparations. “Yes, at times we too are immersed into many activities and programs. So the Gospel invites us to set priority in our lives. As Christians our priority should be Jesus, who is present in the Eucharist.” added the Archbishop.
Holy Eucharist Church in Mangammanapalya is the only Church dedicated to the Holy Eucharist in the Archdiocese of Bangalore.
