Archbishop Rev Dr Peter Machado delegated his PRO J A Kanthraj and his Secretary Fr.Adolf Washington to greet and convey his felicitations and Blessings upon Bangalore City's newly appointed Police Commissioner Mr. Alok Kumar who assumed office on 17th June. Mr. Alok Kumar is the 32nd commissioner of Bangalore City. The Secretary informed the Commissioner that the Archbishop was on an important official engagement outside Bangalore and would be happy to have the Police Commissioner visit the Archbishop's house. Mr. Alok Kumar said he would certainly visit the Archbishop. The brief meeting ended at 6.30pm, June 19th after the Officer was garlanded, draped with a shawl and handed a letter from the Archbishop.
