Karwar, October 3, 2025 – The 13th Karnataka Regional Youth Convention, Yuvajanotsava 2025, held in Karwar, was a moment of great joy and celebration for the Archdiocese of Bangalore. In the presence of youth from across Karnataka, Mr. Kenneth and Ms. Angela, representing the Archdiocese, were honoured with the prestigious Yuva Rathna Award for their dedicated service to the Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM).
Their leadership, commitment, and tireless efforts in nurturing and guiding the youth have brought great honour not only to the Archdiocese but also to the larger Catholic community in Karnataka.

Extending their heartfelt congratulations, Archbishop Peter Machado, along with the Auxiliary Bishops, priests, and religious of the Archdiocese of Bangalore, praised Angela and Kenneth for being true witnesses of faith, service, and youthful dynamism. “Your recognition is an inspiration to every young person in our Archdiocese to live their faith with courage and contribute selflessly to the Church and society,” the message of felicitation read.

The Yuva Rathna Award stands as a symbol of appreciation for outstanding youth leaders who embody the values of Christ and the mission of ICYM. By receiving this recognition at the Regional Convention, Angela and Kenneth have reaffirmed the Archdiocese’s commitment to empowering young people as “pilgrims of hope and builders of peace.”
As Yuvajanotsava 2025 continues in Karwar, the Archdiocese of Bangalore rejoices in this proud achievement and prays that many more of its youth may follow in the footsteps of Angela and Kenneth, carrying forward the mission of the Church with enthusiasm and joy.
