The new office of Jeevan Jyothi Trust (located within the Archbishop's House Campus) was blessed and inaugurated by Most Rev. Dr Peter Machado, Archbishop of Bangalore on 24 November 2021 in the presence of the Mons. Jayanathan, Vicar General, Archdiocesan Curia and benefactors.
In the year of St. Joseph, Archbishop Peter Machado took up many projects in the healing ministry. The onset of Covid-19 catalyzed many activities of Jeevan Jyothi Trust. Two new Health Care Centers dedicated to St. Joseph were inaugurated at KGF (15 August) and Theresapura (13 October). In addition, Jeevan Jyothi Covid Care Centre at St. Joseph's High School at Briand Square provided much needed relief to 117 patients at the peak of the second wave. Numerous vaccination camps were conducted inoculating over 25,000 doses. The Archbishop underscored that in times of distress and difficulties we need to rely on the providence of God and be grateful for the many blessings we have received. Archbishop Machado thanked the Benefactors, Fr. Christopher Vimalraj, Trustee (Projects) and his team for their efforts.
