Bangalore, 6th December 2019: As Christmas is around the corner, the Archdiocese of Bangalore in collaboration with CSI Karnataka Central Diocese, Dooradarshana Kendra, Bangalore, All India Radio, KRCBC and AKUCFHR organized “Christha Namana 2019” a Christmas cultural program to celebrate the season of nativity of Jesus Christ.
The program was organized on 6th December 2019 at 5.30 pm in CSI Bishop cotton Boys’ School Auditorium, Residency Road Bangalore.
The program commenced with the singing of carols by the member of various choir groups of CSI Churches in Bangalore. Rt. Rev. PK Samuel, Bishop of CSI Karnataka Central diocese welcomed the gathering. Mr. N.A. Harris, member of legislative assembly representing Shanthinagar constituency attended the program. The gracious presence of Sri Sri Sri Shivarudra Mahaswamigalu of Shri Belimata Mahasamsthana added more vibrancy to the event.
Sawmiji quoting the famous vachana “Ivanarava… Ivanaarava…” of Basavanna, said “Let us break the barriers of caste, culture and tradition and build the bridge of unity and fraternity.”
Most Rev. Dr. Peter Machado, Archbishop of Bangalore speaking in his address emphasized on unity amidst diversity. The prelate invited everyone to accept each other in their differences.
People from North Karnataka and even from South Canara presented the joy of Christmas by putting up a colorful stage show. The entire program will be telecasted in DD Chandana on 24th and 25th December.
