Bangalore: It was an historic day 2nd February 2019 for the parishioners of St. Jude’s Church. The long awaited dream and fervent prayers of many ultimately reached its fulfilment with the New
Church. For nearly three decades the people had to wait for a proper place for worship, started with a small shelter with few families today the Church stands as a new milestone in
Bengaluru.
Most Rev. Dr. Bernard Moras, the then Archbishop of Bengaluru laid the foundation stone on 10 th of January 2017 and it was completed by Most Rev. Peter Machado Archbishop of Bengaluru.
The sanctuary was designed by Rev. Fr. Anthony Pravin Rajan. G. the Parish Priest with unique piece of art works invoking divine feeling in the Church. The New Church was consecrated on 2nd of February 2019 by Most Rev. Peter Machado and Most Rev. Dr. Bernard Moras Archbishop Emeritus in the presence of 50 concelebrant priests, religious sisters and large number of lay faithful from parish and neighbouring parishes.
St. Jude is a patron for the hopeless cases; he is indeed very powerful intercessor for all those who faithfully invoke him in desperate moments. This parish is a visible miracle of this beautiful saint and those who have visited this church have witnessed miracles in their life. Come and experience this wonder worker.
