The Half-Day Workshop for the Family Bible Proclamation Units (FBPUs) held on the 22nd of February 2026 at Paalanaa Bhavana. The workshop brought together representatives and animators from over thirty parishes, reflecting the growing vitality of grassroots biblical movements within the Archdiocese. The programme commenced with a solemn Bible procession and enthronement, symbolizing the central place of the Word in the life of every Christian family. The gathering was graced by His Grace Most Rev. Dr. Peter Machado, Archbishop of Bangalore, whose presence added pastoral depth and encouragement to the initiative. He was joined by Rev. Dr. Jeevan Prasad Dandavathi MSFS and Rev. Fr. Alwyn, Secretaries of the Commission for Bible, Rev. Fr. Naveen Galdson, the Pastoral Coordinator, and Rev. Dr. Susairaj P., Parish Priest of Holy Family Church.

In his address, the Archbishop emphasized the importance of rooting family life in the Scriptures and encouraged the faithful to become living witnesses of the Word in their homes and communities. As part of the programme, His Grace conferred the Best Parish FBP Awards, recognizing exemplary efforts in biblical animation. The awards were presented to Rev. Dr. Susairaj P., Parish Priest of Holy Family Church, Ramamurthy Nagara, and to Mrs. Immaculate representing St Francis de Sales Church, Hebbagodi. Further enriching the event, prizes were distributed to the winners of the Online Bible Quiz – Episode 4, and Episode 5 of the quiz was formally inaugurated, continuing the Commission’s efforts to engage the faithful, especially the families, in biblical learning through digital platforms. The Guests of Honour, Rev. Dr. P. Susairaj P. and Rev. Fr. Naveen Galdson, addressed the participants and distributed certificates and prizes to Single Point of Contact (SPOC) coordinators, Bible writers, and quiz participants, acknowledging their valuable contributions.
A significant moment in the workshop was the presentation of the annual report for 2025 and the activity plan for 2026 by Rev. Dr. Jeevan Prasad Dandavathi MSFS. This presentation offered both a reflective evaluation of past initiatives and a visionary roadmap for future biblical apostolate in the Archdiocese. The programme concluded with a group photograph and fellowship refreshments, fostering a sense of unity and shared mission among all participants.
