"In His Presence: Strengthening Faith for Jubilee 2025"

In the spirit of the Year of Prayer proclaimed in preparation for the Jubilee Year 2025, the Archdiocese of Bangalore witnessed a profound celebration of faith and unity. The St. Joseph's Briand Square Deanery organized a Eucharistic Procession aimed at building a community rooted in faith, hope, and love. The event, a manifestation of collective devotion, brought together the faithful in large numbers to worship and adore the Eucharistic Lord.

The day began with the Holy Eucharist at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Rayapuram. The Mass was presided over by Most Rev. Dr. Arokiaraj Satis Kumar, Auxiliary Bishop of Bangalore, and concelebrated by Archbishop Most Rev. Dr. Peter Machado, Auxiliary Bishop Most Rev. Dr. Joseph Susainathan, and several other priests. The church was filled with the faithful, united in prayer and gratitude, as they reflected on the presence of Christ in the Eucharist.

Following the Mass, the Eucharistic Procession began, with a massive crowd accompanying the Blessed Sacrament through the streets. Hymns of adoration and prayers resonated in the air as participants, with candles in hand, walked in reverence and devotion. The procession was a moving expression of faith, symbolizing hope and unity as they journeyed together towards St. Joseph’s Church, Briand Square.

At the culmination of the procession, Archbishop Peter Machado addressed the gathered faithful. His message emphasized the centrality of the Eucharist in Catholic life, inspiring everyone to deepen their relationship with Christ. Quoting the words, “The Eucharist is the source and summit of our Christian life,” the Archbishop highlighted the importance of fostering a community anchored in prayer and mutual love.

The event concluded with Benediction and the Final Blessing, as the congregation knelt in humble adoration of the Lord. The atmosphere was filled with grace and spiritual renewal.

Special commendation goes to the Deanery Fathers, led by Fr. Sandhyagu, the Dean, for meticulously organizing the event. Their efforts ensured a seamless and spiritually enriching experience for everyone involved.

This Eucharistic Procession stands as a testament to the Archdiocese's commitment to preparing for the Jubilee 2025 by deepening faith, nurturing hope, and fostering unity among the faithful. May the graces of this sacred event inspire the community to continue growing in love and service to God and one another.
