Bengaluru, August 24, 2025: The Bangalore Multipurpose Social Service Society (BMSSS), in collaboration with the Health Commission of the Archdiocese of Bangalore, organized a Medical Camp for the displaced children and youth of Manipur at St. Aloysius School Campus, Bengaluru. The initiative aimed at extending healthcare support and care to those who continue to face the challenges of displacement.

The medical camp was coordinated under the guidance of Fr. Alban Zeo, Secretary for Manipuri Youths and Displaced Children, who underscored the Church’s responsibility to stand by the marginalized and vulnerable. He highlighted the significance of holistic care—physical, emotional, and spiritual—for the young people uprooted from their homes.

A team of medical professionals from Leelavathi Multi-Speciality Hospital, Hosmat Hospital, Shwetha Opticals, and Shraddha Eye Care rendered their services during the camp. General health check-ups, specialist consultations, eye screenings, and the distribution of essential medicines and optical aids were carried out, benefitting a large number of children and youth.

The collaborative initiative stood as a strong expression of solidarity and compassion, reflecting the Archdiocese’s mission of service through healthcare and social outreach. The camp not only responded to immediate health needs but also strengthened the hope and dignity of those displaced, affirming the Gospel call to serve “the least of these” (Mt 25:40).
