“Nithya Sahaya Trust” is inaugurated to aid the Poor!

Bangalore, June 29, 2019: Most Rev Dr. Peter Machado, the Metropolitan Archbishop inaugurated today the “Nithya Sahaya Trust” a registered organization under the aegis of the Archdiocese of Bengaluru as a new channel to facilitate a ‘One Point’ to access non-pastoral requirements of the Archdiocese, as of now the curriculum needs of Archdiocesan Board of Education (ABE).

Reminiscing the apostles’ invitation during their ‘walk to Emmaus’ urging Jesus to “Stay with us”(Lk 24:29), Archbishop in his inaugural message invited Jesus to stay with His anointing presence to guide the trust and its personnel in the new ventures.

The occasion was rightly timed as the Church was celebrating the solemnity of the feast of ‘Peter & Paul’. The prelate highlighted the distinct characters of the two Apostles and explained that, “passion without action and action without passion will serve no purpose and leads us nowhere, but when the two are brought in tune the best results are awaited”.

Fr. Patrick Pinto proposing the vote of thanks, recalled the timely advice of Msgr. S Jaynathan in the realization of this new project. Rev. John Antony, the new Parish Priest of the St Francis Xavier’s Cathedral and his associates were present at the occasion.

The new office will operate from St Francis Xavier Cathedral campus, PB No 584, Promenade Road, Cleveland Town, Bengaluru – 560 005.
