Bangalore, 22 November, 2019: The children of St. Aloysius school, Cleveland
town participated in various sports competitions as they celebrated the annual
sports day. Participating in various games and sports develops a feeling of sporting
spirit among the students.
The Archbishop of Bangalore, His Grace Most Rev. Dr. Peter Machado was the
Chief Guest and Shri. Akhanda Srinivas Murthy, Honorable MLA of
Pulikeshinagar Constituency was the guest of Honour. The Archbishop encouraged
the boys to light up their lives and the society by the value education provided by
the School. The MLA also encouraged parents to give education to the children
and spoke of his readiness to help those who are in need. Msgr Jayanathan spoke
about the sacredness of the playgrounds where the character and the personality is
molded.
The Manager and correspondent of the School Fr. Bala Francis spoke about the
tireless service of the school since 1898 to the poor and the less fortunate of the
society in catering to their education in its 121 years of its existence. Fr. John
Antony, the Rector of St. Francis Xavier cathedral, Fr. Vinoo Fabian, Fr. Arokia
Swamy CPPS, Fr. Arokia Swamy D. were present for the programme.
