Bengaluru, June 21, 2026: St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, Bengaluru, celebrated academic excellence and the spirit of family support by felicitating students who secured more than 85% marks in the SSLC and II PUC examinations. The special recognition took place during the 9:45 a.m. Holy Eucharist celebrated by Rev. Fr. Benedict Rajesh on Sunday, June 21, 2026. Over eighteen students, accompanied by their parents, were honoured before the parish community for their outstanding academic achievements.

The felicitation ceremony was a joyful expression of gratitude for the dedication, perseverance, and disciplined efforts of the students. Their success stood as a testimony to the rewards of hard work, commitment, and the responsible use of the talents entrusted to them by God. The parish rejoiced with these young achievers, encouraging them to continue striving for excellence with humility, integrity, and faith.

The celebration also paid heartfelt tribute to the parents, especially the dedicated couples whose unwavering love, constant encouragement, patient guidance, and countless sacrifices have played an indispensable role in shaping the lives and futures of their children. Their steadfast commitment to nurturing values, faith, and education was recognised as the strong foundation upon which these achievements were built.

Addressing the gathering, Rev. Fr. Benedict Rajesh encouraged the students to view their academic success not merely as a personal accomplishment but as a responsibility to serve society with compassion, wisdom, and Christian values. He reminded families that education, when rooted in faith and supported by loving homes, becomes a powerful instrument for building a more hopeful and just world.

The celebration concluded on a joyful note as the parish community applauded the students and their families, making it a beautiful witness to the power of faith, family, and perseverance. The Rector of the Cathedral, Rt. Rev. Dr. Arokiaraj Satis Kumar, and the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Christopher White, warmly appreciated the remarkable efforts of the students and expressed heartfelt gratitude to the parents for their unwavering support, sacrifices, and commitment to their children's education and faith formation.
