Outreach Program: A Visit to Cottolengo Community
On March 9, 2025, members of St. Jude’s Women’s Cell extended their celebrations through an outreach program by visiting the physically and mentally challenged children cared for by the Cottolengo Sisters. The visit was an emotional and heartwarming experience, as the members engaged with the children through games, storytelling, and shared laughter.

The Cottolengo Sisters warmly welcomed the group and shared the vision of their congregation, inspired by Saint Joseph Cottolengo, who dedicated his life to serving the sick and abandoned. The sisters run a school for 65 students and provide in-house care for 24 girls, ensuring their emotional, physical, and educational needs are met with love and compassion.
One of the members of the Women’s Cell shared her thoughts on the visit, saying, “Witnessing the joy and resilience of these children, despite their challenges, was profoundly moving. It reminded us of the importance of gratitude and service.” As a token of love, the Women’s Cell sponsored a meal for the children and presented them with small gifts, bringing smiles to their faces. The visit reinforced the spirit of selfless giving and community service, leaving a lasting impact on both the visitors and the children.
With a heart full of gratitude and inspiration, St. Jude’s Women’s Cell continues to uphold the values of compassion and empowerment, ensuring that International Women’s Day is not just celebrated but lived out through acts of love and service.
