The Power of the Jubilee Cross: Christ the King Church, Byrathi Welcomes the Jubilee Cross

In a moment of grace and faith-filled celebration, the faithful of Christ the King Church, Byrathi gathered in large numbers to venerate the Jubilee Cross, a powerful symbol of the ongoing Jubilee 2025 celebrations in the Archdiocese of Bangalore. The procession and special service were organized under the dedicated leadership of the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Chowrappa, who ensured that the entire parish experienced this moment of spiritual renewal and divine blessing. 

What makes this Jubilee Cross especially sacred is the relic embedded within it—a fragment from the original Cross of Christ. As the Cross was carried in solemn procession through the parish, the faithful stood in awe and prayerful silence, welcoming the Cross into their hearts and homes. 

Fr. Chowrappa shared his joy and reflection on the occasion, stating, "This Cross is not just wood—it is a symbol of our salvation and a visible sign of God’s mercy. By venerating the Jubilee Cross, we enter into the mystery of Christ’s love, and we prepare ourselves for the Holy Year of 2025 with renewed faith." 

The parishioners responded with overwhelming devotion. The Cross was received with petals of flowers, songs of praise, and moments of personal prayer. Many reached out to touch the Cross, resting their hands on it with deep emotion, believing in the healing and transformative power that flows from it. 

A long-time parishioner, expressed, "When I touched the Cross, I felt peace and strength fill my heart. It reminded me that even in suffering, Christ walks with us." 

Another parishioner, added, "To know that this Cross carries a relic from the very Cross of Jesus is beyond words. It was like having a piece of heaven among us." 

The event was not just a celebration but a sacred encounter—reminding every faithful soul in Byrathi that the Cross of Christ is the source of life, hope, and renewal.
