Bangalore, March 13, 2023: Metropolitan Archbishop of Bengaluru Most Rev. Dr Peter Machado presided over the Month’s Mind Eucharist of Archbishop Emeritus Ignatius Paul Pinto, who died last month aged 98 years.
Vicars General of the Archdiocese Msgr. S. Jayanathan, Msgr. C. Francis, more than twenty diocesan and religious priests concelebrated the Holy Eucharist held at St. Francis Xavier’s Cathedral in Cleveland Town.
Rev. Dr. John Abraham, a professor of Canon Law at St Peter’s Pontifical Seminary in Malleshwaram, Bangalore, preached the homily in which he highlighted the good qualities of Late Archbishop Ignatius Pinto. He also recalled a few incidents in the life of the late prelate to exemplify his good traits and leadership abilities.
